This week has been great! but I´m really really really really really excited to leave and I think I leave the mtc here on the 14th.

The hurricane didn´t hit here. None of the missionaries here even knew about it until this morning when everyone started checking their emails. I guess ever since they built the temple here a hurricane hasn't hit Santo Domingo. But this week´s been pretty much the same as all the other weeks. I don´t know if you remember that yellowish flowery goldish tie that we got at missionary mall but all the latins love that tie. I always get tons of compliments when I where it and sometimes when I come back to my room a find a few spanish speaking elders coveting over it. So i traded it with a nicaraguan elder for this way sweet 70´s polyester tie that looks like someone just cut the fabric out of a really old couch with nacho stains. It´s awesome!!

It´s fun to talk to all the latin elders. A lot of the english they know they learned from watching movies, so it´s not uncommon to hear them unknowingly say malas palabras. One night we were teasing Elder Vargaz and he jokingly yelled some certain words at us without knowing what any of them meant and then a elder next door knocked on our door asking who was screaming the profanitites.... it was really funny. and he was all like¨I not know they are bad!¨ It probably wasn´t that funny, but things that wouldn´t have been funny 1 month and a half ago are now hilarious. We´ve just been teaching him which words are wrong as they start to pop up.

oh yeah! muchisimo thanks for the package! I got it a few days ago. My roommates are very appreciative too. Also do you think you could send a envelope with a bunch of pictures of friends and stuff over the last year or whenever? You could just wait to send themwhen I get my first address but all the pictures are in the folder my pictures on my computer. You could call jonathan to help you or something... but don't send them if they costs a lot.

I started playing volleyball for gym recently. It's a lot of fun, but we play on the concrete so sometimes it gets scary... Gym is one of the best parts of the day. I really like lunch too. The rice and beans are still soooooo goooooood and I always leave lunch way stuffed. But I hope all is going well at home! It's good to hear that you both got classes started! love you!

Elder,

Young
